"What if the sages and saints are right?" I asked. "What if working for mammon worshippers really does make us complicit in their crimes?"

"Here's a prescription for the latest serotonin reuptake inhibitor. It will remove all your anxieties."

"You mean it will make me complacent with my sinful nature?"

Doctor Govalia laughed. "Yes, Peter, it will make you complacent with your sinful nature."

"Wouldn't it be more accurate to call it a repentance reuptake inhibitor?"

She laughed again. "You are hilarious, Peter. Now take your meds. I will see you in two weeks."
